The One Public Sector Scotland conference will feature a variety of plenary speakers as well as exhibitors and an innovation clinic area running in parallel. It will also facilitate networking between all parts of the Scottish public sector to enable the sharing of best practice and innovation across service delivery areas.
Led by the Deputy First Minister, the core themes are ‘Drivers of Innovation’ and ‘Promoting a Culture of Excellence’ and the day will see delegates from the public, private and third sectors.
In examining the drivers of innovation in the delivery of public services, this conference will explore how the consumer is changing and the impact that has on the demands they make on public services. Those demands also impact on how services are delivered against the reductions in public spending. What skills are now required of public sector workers to meet those demands with limited resources? What are the strategic challenges of public sector transformation? What should public service excellence look like and how should that be delivered?
This conference will examine the opportunities that the public sector has to harness excellence:
- what are the opportunities for the public sector to enhance service delivery through digital technology?
- how can public sector consumers help drive services to excellence; or indeed, can they?
- how can the public sector break out of silos and embrace cross boundary working?
This conference is an outstanding opportunity for everyone interested in Scotland delivering world class public services. Join Scotland’s public sector and its partners in discussing how we shape and deliver first class public services for Scotland.
